hypanis.ru EMILY | SHEFFIELD, UK DAY AFTER SESSION » ambersuephotography

No, this is not Taylor Swift, though she definitely looks like her. Let me introduce you to my friend Emily. A beautiful newlywed bride (October 2010 wedding) who is still as much in love with weddings as she was when planning hers. We’ve bored our husbands many times over meals when we got wrapped up talking about our favorite wedding memories and creations. Emily and her husband Andy are from the UK, and have gotten used to the ridiculous beauty of the English countryside. I, however, have not. When we ride on the winding hilly roads, I’m always glued to the car window; much like a child glued to the window of a toy store. At least 10 times I’ve said, “Gosh, I’d give anything to get a bride out in that field, by that barn, on that bridge…” you get the picture. When Emily and I got lost in yet another wedding conversation, I asked her if she’d be willing to put her dress on and head to a field near Bakewell. She excitedly responded, “YES!” This would be her chance to wear her hair down (she had an updo for the wedding), and get the kind of portraits there wasn’t enough time to get on her wedding day.

The day of our shoot, Kevin and I grabbed a grocery bag, a scissors, and walked down to Chelsea park to “borrow” a few wild mums. We didn’t get lucky enough to find mums, so I ended up grabbing these purple and yellow wildflowers to make a bouquet. Later on I found out I broke the law twice in that activity: 1. for cutting wildflowers, 2. for carrying a scissors out in public. Thank goodness the police didn’t bust us, or we would’ve missed out on this incredible session with the ever-so-lovely Emily! “Day after” sessions start at just $200, may also include your hubby, and include a copyright free disc with all your images. A special thanks to Andy and Kevin for tagging along to help with the reflector, carry our loot, and to come to my rescue when I stepped in a patch of ‘stinging nettles’ (much like poison ivy). All the drama of the day was well worth it for this (still glowing) bride. While you’re here, be sure to comment and let Emily know just how stunning she is! Enjoy.
