BIG NEWS!

BIG NEWS!

Amber Sue Photography will be relocating this summer!
We are moving from Worthington, MN to Aberdeen, SD!

Seriously? MOVING?! AHHH!! Why?? Well…my hubby and I were extended calls to two different churches. I’ll be starting a new church (Community of Hope), and Kevin will be working at an already established one (Bethlehem Lutheran). We are overjoyed to have calls in the same town, and even more excited to finally have a home to call our own. Living in my sister’s basement for a year has been fun, trust me, but we’re dying to get our wedding gifts out of storage. Hoping that brand new blender still works!

You may or may not know: I started ASP in 2006 as a way to pay my way through college and seminary, and the business got a little out of hand! LOL! I’ve had the most amazing clients come to me over and over again in support of what I do. And believe me, I was terrible in the beginning. Still am at times, but have really enjoyed seeing visual evidence of improvement. In 2006, I had about 12 photo shoots the entire year. Since returning from our international trip last August, we’ve had over 260 photo sessions in 10 months! Everything from weddings to families, newborns to engagements, kids to maternity. Thanks for keeping us busy as we patiently waited to see what God had next for us!

Luckily, my call to Community of Hope includes 1/4 time for me to continue my photography business! I’m so grateful to be able to maintain this creative outlet as a way to meet wonderful people in a new community. Church planting (mission development) is a time and energy consuming vocation, but I hope these 10 or so hours a week can help allow me to honor the talent I feel God has given me through photography.

One of the biggest changes to ASP will be our decrease in wedding contracts. We’re shooting 23 weddings in 2012! Next year, I’m only taking contracts for 4 weddings outside the Aberdeen area. 2 have already been received. If you are at all considering ASP, I would suggest calling me today to talk about your upcoming wedding.

Many of you have already asked “Who will take my photos now?” In order to finish up with our wedding commitments, I’ll still be around throughout the summer and into the fall. However, my availability will be limited. That being said, if you are hoping to get some photos from now until November, please contact me ASAP so I can get you on my schedule.

We’re sad to leave our incredibly faithful clients in SW MN (and California), but are excited to see the opportunities God has for us in Aberdeen as well!

Thanks in advance for your prayers and support! Here’s a mini photo shoot we did (with the help of my tripod and camera timer) to share the excitement of our letters of call!
